What is the IndiGoStretch upgrade option?
The upgrade option lets customers with an Economy booking move to the IndiGoStretch cabin on selected routes.
How can I upgrade my seat to IndiGoStretch?
Retrieve your PNR on the Upgrade to IndiGoStretch page or follow the upgrade email sent by IndiGo. If seats are available and you are eligible, you may upgrade on the website or app up to six hours before departure.
Am I eligible for an upgrade if I booked through a travel agent or a third party?
Yes. In most cases you can still request an upgrade. We request you to visit the Upgrade to IndiGoStretch
page, enter your PNR and check your eligibility.
Is the upgrade available on every IndiGo flight?
No. Upgrades are offered only on selected routes where the aircraft has both IndiGoStretch and Economy cabins.
Can I upgrade on connecting flights?
The upgrade applies only to flight segments that have an IndiGoStretch cabin. If a connecting leg does not have IndiGoStretch, the upgrade is valid only for the eligible segment.
How will I know whether an upgrade is available on my flight?
After retrieving your PNR on the Upgrade to IndiGoStretch page, eligible flights and segments will appear for selection. If no upgrade is possible, the page will display ‘Upgrade not available’.
What benefits will I receive with the upgrade?
With the upgrade, you will receive the following benefits:
- An IndiGoStretch seat with extra legroom
- An extra 5kg of checked baggage above the standard allowance
- Priority boarding with Fast Forward
- A complimentary meal (subject to availability)
When I upgrade, how many meals from my original booking will still be included?
Only one meal will be served to the passenger depending on the availability of the meal in the Stretch cabin
How much does the upgrade cost?
The fee is dynamic and varies by passenger and sector. You will see the exact amount after retrieving your PNR on the upgrade page.
The total payable amount for the upgrade will be displayed on the payment page.
Can I upgrade after checking in?
Yes. Simply cancel your earlier check-in, upgrade your seat, and check in again to confirm your details.
Can I earn or spend IndiGo BluChip points on the upgrade?
No. The option to earn or redeem IndiGo BluChip points on the upgrade amount is currently not available.
Will my original fare rules still apply after I upgrade?
Yes. The fare conditions of your original Economy booking, such as change or cancellation fees, remain the same after the upgrade unless stated otherwise.
When I upgrade, what will happen to the special service requests associated with my original booking?
Special service requests from the original booking will be carried forwarded to the upgraded booking.
