Terms and conditions

6E Fare Hold is a flexible payment offering available to the customers to enable them to block their IndiGo flight Fare* for a specific period of either 48 hours or 72 hours and defer the payment for such hold booking by paying an additional upfront 6E Fare Hold fee in the manner and subject to the terms and conditions as set out below:

*‘Fare’- for the purpose of this Terms and Conditions shall mean the determined and published total fare by IndiGo which is inclusive of all applicable taxes, fees and airport charges.

1. Eligibility: 6E Fare Hold offering will be applicable on flight bookings made through IndiGo’s website (www.goindigo.in)for all IndiGo scheduled domestic and international flights, provided that there is a minimum period of 7 (seven) days between the date of booking the ticket and the date of departure of the flight

2. 6E Fare Hold Period: Flight Fare can be blocked by the customer for a specific period of either 48 hours or 72 hours as chosen at the time of purchase of 6E Fare Hold offering (“Hold Period”). During such Hold Period, the Fare for that hold booking will not change irrespective of increase or decrease in the displayed Fare of the same flight on IndiGo website.

The customer has to make a full payment of the blocked flight booking within the Hold Period.

3. 6E Fare Hold Fee Payment:

(a) The 6E Fare Hold fee will be charged on a per passenger basis (“6E Fare Hold Fee”). If such option is selected by a customer on the IndiGo website, whilst booking, the 6E Fare Hold Fee and convenience fee (if applicable) will be charged to the customer. The 6E Fare Hold Fee will be levied in the following manner:

Domestic International
a) 6E Fare Hold Fee for 48 hours period:
INR 99 per passenger per sector

a) 6E Fare Hold Fee for 48 hours period:
INR 199 per passenger per sector
(please note that above fee may vary as per the sector)
b) 6E Fare Hold Fee for 72 hours period:
INR 149 per passenger per sector
(please note that above fee may vary as per the sector)
b) 6E Fare Hold Fee for 72 hours period:
INR 249 per passenger per sector
(please note that above fee may vary as per the sector)

(b) The 6E Fare Hold Fee cannot be paid by a customer using any reward points or through a voucher.

(c) The 6E Fare Hold offering allows the customer to block Fare and such 6E Fare Hold Fee shall not be construed as a security deposit. The 6E Fare Hold Fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against the flight Fare.

(d) The 6E Fare Hold Fee does not contribute towards the total price of your ticket or any fee of any other ancillary / add-on services.

4. Flight Booking Payment: Customer is required to make full payment of the blocked flight Fare within the 6E Fare Hold Period. In event the customer fails to make such payment, the hold booking will be canceled automatically.

If full payment of the hold booking is made within 6E Fare Hold Period, the convenience fee amount will not be levied on the hold booking amount.

5. Manner of Use of 6E Fare Hold :

(a) By opting for the 6E Fare Hold offering and paying the applicable 6E Fare Hold Fee and convenience fee (if applicable), the customer can reserve the chosen Fare as available on the particular date for the 6E Fare Hold Period.

(b) Customer opting for 6E Fare Hold offering are required to confirm their hold booking by paying the cost of the flight Fare within the 6E Fare Hold Period. If the outstanding payment for the hold booking is not made before the expiry of the 6E Fare Hold Period, the hold booking will be cancelled automatically, and the 6E Fare Hold Fee Payment and convenience fee (if applicable) will not be refunded by IndiGo.

(c) Customers are required to confirm their hold booking by paying the total flight Fare through “Manage booking” option on the IndiGo website www.goindigo.in, or through the payment link received at the time of making a booking using the 6E Fare Hold option within the 6E Fare Hold Period.

(d) Booking Cancellation – In case of cancellation of a flight booking within the 6E Fare Hold Period, the 6E Fare Hold Fee and convenience fee (if applicable) will not be refunded by IndiGo to the customer.

i. In case of cancellation of a flight booking by the Customer post payment of full flight Fare and 6E Fare Hold Fee, the 6E Fare Hold Fee will not be refunded by IndiGo and the cancellation charges in relation to flight Fare will be governed as per IndiGo’s conditions of carriage.

ii. Save and except as point no.(i) above, in case of cancellation of a flight booking by IndiGo due to any irregular operations (IROPS) including Force Majeure events as per the conditions of carriage of IndiGo IndiGo will refund the ‘6EFareHold Fee’ and ‘convenience fee’, in its entirety to the Customer.

(e) Booking Rescheduling – No modifications can be made to the hold booking during the 6E Fare Hold Period. The 6E Fare Hold offering can be availed only on the specific fare option locked for the selected flight(s) and passenger(s).

(f) In the event of misuse of 6E Fare Hold offering, IndiGo reserves the right to reject any claim, deny the offer or cancel the booking.

(g) Except to the Terms and Conditions provided herein, all other terms and conditions, shall be subject to IndiGo’s Conditions of Carriage available here.

6. Exclusions: The 6E Fare Hold offering will not be available for certain fares determined at IndiGo’s discretion, including sale fares, special fares, corporate bookings and group bookings.

7. Availability: 6E Fare Hold offering is available on 6E Saver, 6E Flexi and Super 6E, IndiGoStretch and IndiGoStretch+ product classes. This offering remains subject to availability.

8. Right to withdraw: IndiGo reserves the right to withdraw or modify these terms, at any time, at its absolute discretion, without assigning any reason and without prior intimation. The decision of IndiGo in this regard shall be final and binding.

9. Governing Law: These terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in India, and all disputes related to the 6E Fare Hold offering shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.

10. Data Protection: Any personal data of the customer which is collected or processed under this 6E Fare Hold offering shall be done in accordance with Privacy Policy of IndiGo.
