For the third year in a row, IndiGo has been recognised by ch-aviation as operating the world’s youngest aircraft fleet in the 100+ aircraft category—a testament to our focus on efficiency and innovation.
With an average fleet age of just 4.38 years, IndiGo is also ranked 4th in Asia. Our 400+ aircraft currently serve over 125 destinations.

IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers has been named ‘The Glocal CEO’ at Business Today’s India’s Best CEOs Awards, recognizing leaders with a global vision rooted in local insight—an approach central to Pieter’s leadership at IndiGo. Featured in Making a Global Aviation Giant, he outlined IndiGo’s 2030 growth plans, 2024 network expansion, and India’s rising influence in global aviation, marked by IndiGo hosting the IATA AGM in New Delhi, the country’s first in 42 years.

IndiGo was named ‘Partner of the Year’ at the Changi Airline Awards 2025, hosted by Changi Airport Group at The Ritz-Carlton, Singapore, on 24 April. Accepted by Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, the award recognizes IndiGo’s position as Changi’s fifth-largest foreign carrier, operating 75 weekly flights and carrying over 1 million passengers in 2024. This milestone reflects our deepening partnership with Changi since 2011 and the strength of our expanded network and codeshare collaborations in enhancing global connectivity.

InterGlobe Aviation wins Silver for ‘Best Investment Solution’ at TMI Awards 2023 IndiGo’s Treasury Team was honoured for its innovative overdraft facility backed by fixed deposits — a first-of-its-kind solution that boosts investment flexibility, reduces idle bank floats, and safeguards the company’s credit risk profile and net debt position. This smart approach delivers immediate financial gains, saving ₹11 crore (USD 1.3 million) annually.

IndiGo and Genesis BCW win top PR honour at Kaleido Awards 2024 IndiGo’s campaign ‘Towards New Heights and Across New Frontiers’ won in the Travel, Tourism & Leisure category at ET Brand Equity’s Kaleido Awards. The campaign showcased IndiGo’s global brand-building, smooth leadership transition, and strong messaging on international and domestic expansion. It highlighted our robust fleet, operational excellence, and people-first innovations, reinforcing IndiGo’s position for sustained global growth.

IndiGo’s Corporate Communications team has been named among the ‘30 Top Corporate Communications Teams for 2024’ by Reputation Today, reaffirming our leadership in South Asian aviation. IndiGo wins ‘Airline of the Year – Domestic’ at Pinnacle Awards 2024
Bengaluru International Airport Limited honoured IndiGo with the top domestic airline award at the 7th Pinnacle Awards, held on 7 June 2024 at the Taj Hotel, Bengaluru Airport. The recognition highlights IndiGo’s operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and strong domestic network.

IndiGo CarGo was named ‘Best CarGo Airline of the Year 2024’ at the India Cargo Awards, held on 12 August at Sofitel, Mumbai. The honor celebrates the team’s hard work, passion, and operational excellence, reaffirming IndiGo CarGo’s leadership in the industry. As India’s first internet voting–based recognition, the award highlights our commitment to reliability, innovation, and delivering value to customers.

IndiGo wins Gold in the category 'Best Use of YouTube.' From March 2022 until October 2022, we grew our YouTube subscriber base 9 times over – from just 20K subscribers 187K. This is one of the highest, not just for any Indian airline, but also for any Indian travel brand. The objective was to see how YouTube could be used as more than just a social media platform, as a tool to generate revenue.

The award is a recognition of IndiGo’s agile & impactful moves to increase the number of PwD (‘Persons with Disability’) employees within a short span of time and creating a safe and conducive space so our PwD colleagues could imbibe the 6E culture and feel a sense of belonging. IndiGo has focused on PWD hiring in the past year (2022) and within this short span of time there has been a sharp rise in the count of our PwD employees, as compared to the previous years.

IndiGo CarGo was honored as the ‘Indian Air Cargo Transport Leader of Covid Vaccine’ at the CarGo India Conference in Mumbai. Recognized for swiftly transporting vaccines across the country during the pandemic, IndiGo played a vital role in saving lives and livelihoods. With its specialized vehicles, equipment, and expanding network, IndiGo CarGo continues to deliver safe, reliable, and timely cargo services across India and beyond.

With new platforms and mediums emerging every day, the communications space is evolving rapidly. AdGully’s IMAGEXX Summit, held on 16th June 2022 at The Leela, Gurgaon, celebrated leaders who enable brands to connect seamlessly across touchpoints. The summit brought together industry stalwarts to discuss trends, chart the future roadmap, and honor outstanding leaders and young talent across categories.

IndiGo, along with Genesis PR, won a Diamond award in the ‘Reputation Management’ category at the PR SABRE Awards South Asia 2022. This marks our third consecutive win—Gold in 2020, followed by Diamond in 2021 and 2022. Exchange4media unveiled the third edition of its annual ‘Top 25 Brands with Best In-house Communication Professionals 2022’. Recently, our agency, Weiden+Kennedy, won a Silver at the Indian “Effie” awards, which are known as the Oscars of Indian advertising: the award was for our ‘Lean Clean Flying Machine’ campaign again, which has been enormously successful.

IndiGo bags 2021 COVID-19 Airline Excellence Award
COVID-19 standards were rated across several key areas, including; information and signage, distancing marking and controls, face mask usage consistency amongst staff and passengers, visibility and frequency of hand sanitisers, standard and availability of hygiene products, adapted service in the airport and onboard flights, and cleaning standards and frequency during the end-to-end travel experience.
Airlines around the world have introduced a broad range of hygiene measures to protect customers and staff when travelling by plane. From the moment a ticket is booked, it has been essential for airlines to provide thorough information resources, social distancing measures, and enhanced hand sanitising systems.

IndiGo ranks 5th best low-cost airline in the world
As per the latest ranking of the world's best airlines by Skytrax, a review body, we have been voted as the world's fifth-best low-cost airline in 2021. Skytrax's World Airline Awards are based on customer surveys where airlines are ranked based on votes from travellers worldwide.

IndiGo gets recognised at the PR SABRE Awards 2021
IndiGo and Genesis BCW are awarded the Diamond PR SABRE South Asia Award for Superior Achievement in Measurement and Evaluation of the impact of PR and Communication on Business and another two Golds for our ‘Lean Clean Flying Machine’ in the Crisis Communications/Issues Management category and the Travel & Leisure Communications category.
The PRovoke Media SABRE Awards South Asia recognise campaigns in the region that demonstrate the highest levels of strategic planning, creativity, and business results. This year’s event was the ninth edition organised in partnership by PRovoke Media and Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI), and the second year the SABRE Awards South Asia was announced in a virtual ceremony.

IndiGo has been honoured with two awards at ‘Future of Contact Center Summit and Awards 2021’.
Two awards for: ‘Contact Centre Unique Innovations & Transformation’ and ‘Customer Experience Excellence in Aviation' for a swift response to disruptions in business continuity and thinking out of the box to handle situations. Over the last year, we have introduced various technology integrations including, Voice bot, Chat bot-Dottie, and AI-enabled WhatsApp service, which could successfully cater to handling huge volumes of interactions. Despite increased interaction volumes, the average service level was maintained above 96%, with a satisfaction score of 4.7 on a 5-star rating scale.
These awards are a testimony that we are sensitive to our customers’ needs and deftly implement learnings to provide services in the most efficient manner. IndiGo has been recognised as the 36th most valuable and strong airline brand in the world as per Brand Finance Top 50 airlines report 2021!
This is, even more special because IndiGo has clocked the highest upward movement this year, with a jump of 7 points from #43 last year. IndiGo continues to be the only Indian airline brand to be featured in these rankings. This recognition is a testament to our consistent, on-time performance last year, despite all challenges. This brings us one step closer to our vision of emerging stronger on the other side of the pandemic.

The league is based on 57.5 million flight records using full-year data to create a ranking of the best on-time performance (OTP) for the world’s largest airlines and airports.

Gold award for Crisis Management (COVID-19) at PR Awards Asia 2021
We won a Gold for Lean Clean Flying Machine campaign in the Crisis Management (COVID-19) category. The integrated brand communications campaign encapsulates our entire journey during the pandemic to provide safe and reliable travel options to our customers. We partnered with Genesis BCW, our agency on record since our inception in 2006, to bring the campaign alive through key conversations and strengthen brand and message recall through timely and relevant communications.
