Can fare types be combined for connecting flights?

Fares can only be combined with the same or compatible fare types:
- Saver ↔ Saver
- Flexi ↔ Flexi
- Super 6E ↔ Super 6E
- IndiGoStretch & IndiGoStretch+ ↔ IndiGoStretch or Super 6E

Can customers reschedule or cancel tickets?

Yes, modifications are allowed to go up to 4 hours before departure. Fare differences and applicable fees may apply.

Are change and cancellation fees applicable for all fare types?

Is a convenience fee applicable across all fare types?

No, baby car seats, strollers, and bassinets are not permitted in the Economy Cabin.

A maximum of 12 infants are allowed on the aircraft:

-IndiGoStretch Cabin: Up to 3 infants
-Economy Cabin: Up to 9 infants

Special Assistance & Accessibility

Can I carry a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) on board?

Yes, FAA-approved POCs are allowed as carry-on. Non-approved POCs must be checked in with batteries packed separately.

Are guide dogs accepted on this flight?

Yes, guide dogs are permitted in all cabins, provided the following requisites are met:

  • The guide dog must be properly trained, harnessed, and muzzled
  • The guide dog cannot occupy a seat
  • Must be placed on a moisture-absorbent mat on the cabin floor
  • Advance notice must be given via the IndiGo Contact Centre
    • Please add the service dog to your reservation by calling us at our call centre @ 0124 6173838 at least forty eight (48) hours prior to your departure.
    • Please reach the airport two (2) hours prior to the scheduled time of departure and inform our staff at the reservation desk. They would be happy to assist you with your check-in and boarding formalities
  • A valid vaccination certificate from a registered veterinarian is required
  • Guide dogs are transported free of charge

Are there any restricted items that travelers should avoid carrying?

Which items are not allowed in checked baggage?

Customers are not permitted to carry explosives or incendiary substances and devices in their checked baggage. These items are considered dangerous as they are capable of causing serious injury or posing a threat to the safety of the aircraft. The following are examples of such prohibited items:

  • Ammunition
  • Blasting caps
  • Detonators and fuses
  • Mines, grenades, and other explosive military equipment
  • Fireworks and other pyrotechnic materials
  • Smoke-generating canisters and cartridges
  • Dynamite, gunpowder, and plastic explosives

 

Which items are prohibited from being carried in cabin baggage?

Customers are not permitted to carry the following articles in their cabin baggage or security restricted areas on board an aircraft:

a. Guns, firearms, and other devices that discharge projectiles:
Devices that can, or appear to be able to, cause serious injury by discharging a projectile, such as:

  • All types of firearms including pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns
  • Toy guns, replicas, and imitation firearms that could be mistaken for real weapons
  • Component parts of firearms, except telescopic sights
  • Compressed air and carbon dioxide guns, including pellet guns and ball bearing guns
  • Signal flare pistols and starter pistols
  • Bows, crossbows, and arrows
  • Harpoon and spear guns
  • Slingshots and catapults

b. Stunning devices:
Items designed to stun or immobilise, such as:

  • Stun guns, Tasers, and stun batons
  • Animal stunners and animal killers
  • Chemical sprays such as mace, pepper spray, capsicum spray, tear gas, acid spray, and animal repellents

c. Sharp objects:
Items with a sharp point or edge that could cause serious injury, including:

  • Axes, hatchets, and cleavers
  • Ice axes and ice picks
  • Razor blades and box cutters
  • Knives with blades longer than 6 centimetres
  • Scissors with blades longer than 6 centimetres (measured from the fulcrum)
  • Martial arts equipment with sharp edges or points
  • Swords and sabres

d. Workmen’s tools:
Tools that could be used to cause serious injury or pose a threat to aircraft safety, such as:

  • Crowbars
  • Drills and drill bits, including cordless power drills
  • Tools with a blade or shaft longer than 6 centimetres, such as screwdrivers and chisels
  • Saws, including cordless power saws
  • Blowtorches
  • Bolt guns and nail guns

e. Blunt instruments:
Items that could be used to cause injury by striking, including:

  • Baseball and softball bats
  • Clubs and batons, including billy clubs, blackjacks, and night sticks
  • Martial arts equipment

f. Explosives and incendiary substances or devices:
Items that could pose a threat to aircraft safety, such as:

  • Ammunition
  • Blasting caps
  • Detonators and fuses
  • Replica or imitation explosive devices
  • Mines, grenades, and other military explosives
  • Fireworks and pyrotechnics
  • Smoke-generating canisters and cartridges
  • Dynamite, gunpowder, and plastic explosives
